Gizmo review Gear4 Anrgy Birds table top audio system

I have to admit when I first set eyes on this little audio dock I was skeptical. I know from experience that most gismos that are link to a big name like "Angry Birds" spend most of their money on marketing and very little on product design. But that has not been my experience this time around. These Angry Birds really sing! I sampled the Red bird for this review as I have a variety of devices to connect and only a IPad for Apple devices. There are three options available though including the Red bird, Black bird and a not so angry looking Pig. Each is equipped with two speakers roughly in the cheeks and a sub woofer at the bottom. Also each has a volume control and base control as well as a 3.5mm stereo audio input for connecting to the audio out of your device. The Black bird and Pig come with respective IPod docks as well. The Red bird includes a small device stand and dual 3.5mm connecting cable which served me well for testing as it allowed me to connect to the sound card output of my laptop as well as my Samsung phone and IPad's headphone out. In each case Red produced lively base and excellent highs for its small size. Its a great little sound system for a tabletop Netflix setup with a tablet or for a quick little upgrade for your laptops sound at your desk. The feel and finish is very good and in its eye catching red its sure to be spotted where ever it lands.

Gizmo reviews Panasonic RP-HC800 Noise Canceling Headphones

Gizmo Digital is excited to review the new Panasonic noise canceling headphones. I have always been a big fan of Panasonic and subsequently have owned many pairs of their residential and commercial grade headphones. From ear buds to DJ style headphones I have always been impressed with their quality and durability. So when I got my hands on a pair of the new RP-HC800 noise canceling headphones you can imagine how excited I was to get using them.

These are impressively designed wired headphones. Comfortable to wear and ergonomic with a over ear design. They are light weight and yet very sturdy. One of my favorite features is the swivel design to the ear enclosures. With noise canceling headphones one drawback is that they do a pretty good job of canceling out background noise (go figure right?!). But this can be annoying if you have to keep taking them off to hear the airline attendant or pretty much anything else you might need to listen to momentarily around you. But it is very easy to swivel the ear piece on the Panasonic out of the way temporarily and replace with ease. Another excellent feature is that these noise canceling headphones continue to work even if your batteries are dead, they just operate in passive mode and function as standard headphones until you replace the dead battery.

Features:

  • Swivel Ear Enclosures
  • Light Weight Design
  • Dual Noise Pickups For Superior Noise Elimination
  • 1/4" Headphone adapter Included
  • Dual Airline Connection Adapter Included
  • Carrying Case Included
  • Hands-free Headphone Cable Included
